New Life Sunday School Classes

9:30 a.m. every Sunday

Nursery—provided for infants through age 2. An adult staffs the nursery, which provides cribs for naps, toys and books for play, and Christian children’s music.

Pre-School Class—Ages 3 (potty-trained preferred) until the child completes Kindergarten. The class includes lessons, crafts, snacks, and music. Children learn about sharing the good news about God’s love with others, God’s promises, and church symbols. This class is taught by an adult.

Early Elementary Class—Children in grades 1, 2, and 3. The class includes lessons and crafts and is taught by an adult who is also an elementary teacher. Classes will teach children how they can spread God’s good news, God’s promises in the Old and New Testaments, and symbols and related Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments.

Upper Elementary Class—Children in grades 4, 5, and 6. Children in this class bring a Bible each Sunday to help them in their adult-led study. Study topics have included history of the temple, sacrifices, and prophets in the Old Testament, life in the time of Jesus, and stories of missionaries in other countries. Two times a year they help assemble kits for homeless people.

Junior High—Students in grades 7 and 8. An adult leads the students in studying topics appropriate to their daily life situations and the Christian walk.

Senior High—Students in grades 9 through 12. This class explores current issues by using recent movies to stimulate discussion. Led by an adult, the class members can discuss, debate, and make decisions about their reaction to the movies and to their own life issues.

Adult Classes—From Young Adults through all ages, we have a class for you to explore your faith.
